Peter Knäbel hat dem FC Schalke 04 mitgeteilt, dass er seinen im Sommer auslaufenden Vertrag nicht verlängern werde. Der Verein, der selbst über eine Trennung vom Sportvorstand nachgedacht hatte, zeigt sich "nicht überrascht".
