Multiple people from different clubs have been punished for saying Taylor can’t do his job properly, he’s in the spotlight almost every time he refs a game, is despised by most of the top clubs including Chelsea which he clearly is biased against, got demoted to the Championship and even got a decision wrong down there before coming back up.
Yet, according to clowns in the media, Anthony Taylor is the first or second best ref in the country. Absolute joke.
They will tell you these are the best of the best when everyone with eyes can see they are incompetent. How are they where they are? Surely the process must be broken.

There was a big investigation endorsed by Kick it Out and the FA into the referee observer system, the pipeline that gives us refs from the grassroots to the top and it concluded that they were incredibly racist.
One observer is alleged to have told one referee: “You lot can all run fast, but that’s all you are good for.” Another is claimed to have said: “If you want to progress, you need to cut your dreadlocks.” Another made an offensive comment about throwing a banana

during one diversity meeting, a senior FA official had suggested that additional black referees could be recruited from among people leaving prison.
The fall out from this? They’ve “suspended” a whopping THREE assessors in two years.
With just two non-white referees in the professional game, John Davies, a current member of the FA Refereeing team responsible for refereeing observations, allegedly stunned colleagues during a session on anti-discrimination by saying: “I didn’t see any issues with the slave trade” and using the word “coloured” repeatedly.
Davies will serve 12 weeks with eight suspended for 12 months. He is the third referees’ assessor to be found guilty of racist conduct after the FA suspended another, Mick Ewen, for four months for similarly offensive language last summer.
And in January this year, another observer, Frank Smith, was suspended for just 42 days, told to complete an online education programme and fined £35 after he too was found to have used racially offensive language.
These assessors were not sacked. These assessors were not removed. The system saw no change. The fans need to speak up more if we want change.
I’m all for punishing those who abuse refs but at the same time these refs have to be held responsible for the decisions they make. I have no idea why there aren’t post match interviews with refs or atleast that they are required to explain their decisions in a written report that the managers can see. It just feels like they have all this authority yet face 0 responsibility with it

A legit fix would be for them to actually do their fucking jobs.
Use the VAR correctly and they wouldnt get abused. Its a very very simple solution.
I still don’t really understand how he went from being demoted to getting the City Chelsea match and now this. I just don’t understand why he’s being so protected.
All the referees except Michael Oliver do a game or two in the Championship every season, especially after a stinker

Unpopular opinion but all the ref and var hating the is ruining the game.
Wolves have reason though. Lost 7 points, received more apologies then one hand can count, and it’s not even halfway through the season. They’d be tied for 8th place right now with Brighton if that hadn’t occurred.
These also aren’t games like Newcastle/Arsenal where it’s like if Bruno had got the red we “might” have won, it’s they weren’t given penalties in game they either lost by a goal or drew in and most likely would have scored them to win.
