A 57-year-old former ActiBlizz exec alleged that he left the company because of ageism.

This is the sole person who is leading this charge - A exec who got pushed out.

It could be a lot of things. Maybe they were difficult to work with. Maybe their ideas were lacking. Maybe they were a shitty person. We don’t know. What we do know is a 57-yo exec got fired. And you can absolutely search online for Activision Blizzard Exec salaries.

Yeah. Boomers are so used to having the world bend to their will that they can’t fathom that they might just fucking suck.

As a species that has built it’s entire intelligence around data gathering and categorizing I’d say generalizations have merit. Boomers are in control and have been and the world is awful… Hmm I guess the kids are to blame.

Ageism is everywhere. It’s the last group you can freely attack with absolute impunity.

Every other post in the main subs are “fuck the boomers”

As a 60yo who would love nothing more than to publish a game, this was a fascinating read.

This is not a story about a small studio in the game industry who kicked out an old person. This is a story about a exec making nearly a million a year upset that he was fired.

As if Microsoft didn’t also let thousands of other people, of different ages, cultures, geographical locations, go as well.

But apparently, this guy gets the microphone.

This story is only tangentially about the guy who got sacked. I’m more interested in what the older industry insiders had to say
