If it were possible to interrogate the writers of what I might start calling pulp news, you’d probably find exactly that. Libs aren’t interested in consistency, though. Other than consistent allegiance to the paymaster. This turn in the propaganda is another attempt to keep up the hatred, the fear mongering, and that big MIC money rolling in. My campus finally took down the pro-palestine stickers that have been up for the last 4-5 months. That feels like a defeat, especially in wake of what’s going on.
welp rip nitter, now i am finally done with twitter.
I used to use the Squawker app on Android. I heard it also withered together with Nitter. I had already quit a month earlier (didn’t have an account) and it has made me feel much better since most of who is left on Twitter are rightist trolls anyway. No regrets.
I just deleted TikTok today since it just wasted my time. Since deleting it, I’ve been practising drumming, although I don’t have a drum pad/set yet.
Billions of us woke up today to do some mind numbing profit generating. What a waste of life this system is.

My job recently abandoned clocking in. Also, I don’t have to generate a profit for the union, so 🤷 Feels much more free than before where every single minute was counted
I like believe the clock system does not exist to micro manage me but it exists so I can use my collected overtime for a day of
That’s good if you can do that but unfortunately that’s how many of my coworkers ended up with 500 hours of overtime lol. Some of them now have to work 4/5 at 5/5 pay for the next two years to compensate.
5 o’clock is still 5 o’clock but I travel with public transport so I tend to be a bit early and eventually that will add up to a day or compensation for when the train does not drive
What is public transportation like?
Pretty good delays are a problem though they are not big 5 minutes most of the time I used to go to school to a nearby town and a different train to that area left almost every 10 minutes work is a different town though. Yesterday there was some unexpected railway construction so I get to go with the bus and showed up and hour later because of that
Update on public transportation: Today once again my train was cancelled because it broke this caused the next train to also get cancelled and the next train I was able to take to still come on time for work had a 10 minute delay this caused me to miss my bus and forced me to wait 30 minutes at the bus station in the rain
New job, new me. I won’t hold my breath, but hopefully the hours are better with this one. The commute is a bit shorter, anyway.

Thanks! A little bit of both but more in the ‘something I wanted’ pile. It’s quite similar to the last place. I find that after too long in the same job all the little annoying things build up too much. They become ‘reasons to leave’ rather than things that just get on my nerves.
And I find that when I get too comfortable, employers and managers try to take advantage a little bit more and a little bit more. You spend all this time cultivating an image of just-about-competent. But after a few years of not fucking up, they can see right through it and give you all the extra work, anyway lol.

They’ll tank the economy like they threatened with Greece. Worth it to escape their clutches, but only if there’s a plan for introducing socialism the next day. Otherwise it’d just be pain. There are probably vulture capitalists hoping for exactly that.

I like this idea, though I thought that “Officially” and “Legally” the HQ was somewhere in France so once a month they hold a meeting in France so France does not throw a fit … That being said Belgium seems to have lots of negotiating power here
