While I’m here… I finally finished season 4 of Discovery. That show has been getting much stronger as it goes on IMO. I especially enjoyed the last ~3 episodes! I also like the take on the “villains” of the late season (the two humanoid ones). It’s a refreshing departure from unsympathetic, plain evil antagonists.

So I googled it, and the only result is a post of Stamets complaining. Well, good riddance. Stamets is a misogynist, lesbophobic, transphobic piece of shit who yells slurs at mentally ill people. In the past I stopped using startrek.website for a few months because the admins sided with Stamets’ transphobia. If the admins have gotten fed up with Stamets’ bullshit, then I support them 100%.
Also Stamets’ communities literally banned me for having a mental disorder. Fuck Stamets.

No, he’s definitely transphobic. He thinks forcibly transitioning a nonbinary person to female and pressuring them into compulsory heterosexuality is a good trans story. I didn’t smell shit, I saw it. Also that doesn’t even apply, I’m not complaining everyone’s transphobic, just that one guy. Who no longer has an account on this instance. Because he’s a dick.
So point to the evidence then. You’ve been asked to repeatedly for the evidence and you do not provide it, you just ignore the comment, and then repeat the statement elsewhere.

The initial conversation that he describes as “seeing transphobia” is actually him (a cis guy) arguing with a transfemme nonbinary person (me) about how to represent trans women and enbies. To explain the situation: He said 7/9 is a trans woman. I said I disagree, Janeway forcibly detransitioned it, and I, being dronegender, took it as a story of nonbinary struggle as I watched 7/9 cry that its gender-affirming traits were rotting off its body. He said no, drone isn’t a gender identity, I’m faking being trans, I’m just a troll, and the borg are transphobic. I said come on, the crew even pressures 7/9 into romance despite it clearly being aromantic, because compulsory heterosexuality goes hand in hand with compulsory womanhood. We don’t know if 7/9 was originally destined to be a drone, woman, or something else, but it was happy as a drone and Janeway used conversion therapy to take that away. At best, Janeway is on the same moral level of abuse as the borg, assimilating the unwilling. Stamets said no, Janeway is a trans ally and I’m transphobic for identifying with a story the wrong way.

That’s maybe how it played out in his head but the meltdown happened because a mod asked him to report transphobia instead of bringing further attention to it.
And it wasn’t transphobia either. It was a nonbinary person identifying with a character in a nonbinary way, while Stamets adamantly claimed they are binary and all contrary interpretations are transphobic Trek Heresy.
Stamets is a gay man and I’ve never once seen him push transphobia. And I say this as someone who has argued with him in the past. He may be overly dramatic, but transphobic he is not. If you’re just going to make stuff up, at least try to make it believable.
