Wow, bob ross really missed his calling: how did he die without sharing that hand care secret? His hands look 20 years old.
If you want this vibe look up Goobertown Hobbies. They’re the most chill and wholesone mini painting tutorials I’ve found
Painting minis always looked like something I might wanna do, but it seems a lil daunting to get into.
To see if you like the process but don’t want to spend a ton of money:
- $5-8: Dollar acrylic paints at a craft store. Get primary colors, black, and white
- $2-5: Any brush set that has at least a pointy brush and a fuzzy looking brush
- $5-10: Either a single mini like a DnD character mini, or to see if you like army painting get a bag of green army men
And you’re good to go! Thin the acrylics with water, abuse your cheap brushes, learn dry brushing, and attempt to make and use a wash (basically just very thin paint sometimes with a tiny amount of soap). If you want to get fancy with bases grab some dirt, rocks, and twigs from outside then stick them on with thinned down white craft glue.
Oh wow, practicing on army men is genius. I’m going to try that.
It’s mostly learning tricks. The very high end stuff takes great skill, but you can get good results by just knowing enough to water down your paint and do some drybrushing.
that’s not really Bob Ross that’s an orc!
WarBoss Ross
Orks are the coolest faction, fight me
I’ll fight you. Also as Orks, the coolest faction. Nothing like a good fight!
WAAAAGH
Idk about coolest but they definitely seem the most fun to play
They are essentially a sentient space mushroom collective that perceives certain things as intrinsically linked so they subconsciously alter reality such that the things are linked. The red wunz do indeed go fasta, simply because the orks think they go fasta… and so they do.
Fun fact: Bob Ross was missing one of his pointer fingers, and always held the pallette with that hand to hide it from viewers.
