Been back in Europe due to some heavy family shit.

Every day I meet people who make fun of the far right and Trump, all while voicing opinions such as: “Israel should do to the Palestinians what the USians did to the Native Americans”.

All of these people would join the fascists as soon they are no longer seen as the underdogs.

Shit I thought they were better, but looking at their website it says this:

        https://sf.dk/det-vil-vi/europaparlamentsvalg-2024/sammen-staar-vi-staerkere/

A common European defense policy We live in a time when undemocratic regimes commit war crimes and spread misinformation. We live in a time when we can once again risk Trump taking the White House and becoming the first president of the United States. Where Putin believes he must resurrect the Soviet Union as a new superpower. Where Iran constitutes an increasingly aggressive force in the Middle East. And where North Korea tries to play with their muscles and play with their war toys. That is why it is crucial that Europe sticks together.

Europe is a strong community Denmark is a small country, but if we stand together with our European neighbours, in a solid community, we stand much stronger. There is a need to show the rest of the world that Europe holds together – that Europe is a strong community that fights for a free world supported by human rights, freedom and international law and order. SF believes that the EU’s defense policy must have a special focus on ensuring stability and peace in the EU’s neighboring countries. The EU is fundamentally a peace project, and it must also be the foundation for the EU’s foreign policy in the future.

European independence Together, we Europeans must strengthen cyber security and joint defense of critical infrastructure in Europe. We need European independence in energy, health, transport, food, defense equipment and digitalisation. In addition, we must ensure that the African countries in particular, qua the union, have a real alternative to their cooperation with China and Russia.

"It’s been two years since Russia launched a brutal attack on Ukraine. It is in difficult times that we must stand together in defense of our common values: Democracy, freedom, rule of law and human rights. The complete opposite of what Putin’s regime stands for.”

        Villy Søvndal

I’m not excited anymore. Enhedslisten (another DemSoc party) seems to have the same opinions as well.

        https://enhedslisten.eu/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/EP_Valgprogram_2024.pdf

Seems like the communist party is the only good option in Denmark., but they are too small to participate in elections yet

The party I voted for (SP, demsoc) probably won’t make it into EU parliament, but apparently they are close to a seat, so I’m still hopeful. We’ll see on sunday

What made you vote for SP this time? I tried to find several ways to not make my question seem like an attack but be assured it’s not lol I just wondered as you’ve voted for another party a while ago for example.

I’m a BIJ1 member, but had to find another party to vote for since they didn’t participate this time. So I was thinking about PvdD and SP but decided on SP because they are slightly better on Ukraine

I’m currently engaged in a China Bad™ debate and instead putting in too much effort I decided to just say: ‘source?’ at their bold claims. Turns out it is hard to find actual evidence if your world view is fabricated by the West’s propaganda machine.

I actually just got done with some western leftists on the western pacific/China situation. I thought we had mutual respect between us but then they tried to call me white when they knew I’m not and they knew I was from one of those areas. And called me unhinged/deranged. So being deprived of my humanity was cool. I should have just done what you did and ask for sources.

fuckin hell mate I don’t think I’ve ever been mad about an online confrontation like this. sorry I needed the vent. the steam is coming out my ears, nose, and cuticles. It’s just actually physically tiring.

The combined effect of Pride Month, June 4th and June 6th makes liberals so fucking exhausting this time of year.

So the changing climate is causing more rain to fall over here. Due to increased rain fall and humidity, more people now suffer from URTI (myself included at the moment, yay). I think diseases is one of the most ignored things about climate change.

Also, we will face a mosquitoe plague this summer because of all the wetness.

Is there any source saying this is because of climate change?

I live in a nearby country and I also feel the weather has changed a lot in the last few years, but people and the mainstream media act like nothing happened, so I really want some confirmation this is being caused by climate change
