Still figuring out how to best post videos on Lemmy. Sorry for the crude method
You should be able to post a YouTube link into the URL field when making a new post. That’s probably the easiest method. Were you trying to upload a video file?
Yes, I’ll give that a try next time. Do you know if that pops up with a thumbnail or is playable within Lemmy?
Here’s an example of how it will appear when placing a YouTube URL in the field when creating a new Lemmy post on this instance:
