Don’t worry. After November, the liberals will fall into a peaceful slumber while Harris does everything Trump was going to do (except far more efficiently) and the downvote brigades will stop.

When Obama has a year left in office: his term is basically over, let the people decide the next Supreme Court pick!

When the VP has months left: WHY ISN’T SHE FIXING EVERYTHING NOW NOW NOW

She doesn’t lower prices because she’s completely alienated and unrepresented with absolutely no access to the levers of power?

Not really. Criticism of her positions, including on Gaza, is valid. But the VP has almost no power. And there’s really nothing to be done about grocery prices at this point. Falling prices are generally considered to be very damaging to the economy and would likely cause worse problems. And there’s not really any mechanism by which the executive branch could achieve this anyway.

Inflation is now 2.5%. That’s pretty normal. So there really isn’t any food price issue to solve at this point. The real question is: how will her policies affect wages? And what’s the plan to address the housing crisis which in my view is the real problem that is hurting people right now.

Just in case someone wants the actual answer, which I know you probably don’t, but the real answer is that a president can achieve a lot more in their first 100 days then they can during the election when nobody wants to pass a bill because they’re all campaigning. There’s no time in the presidency that the president has more leverage than right after they are elected and there’s no time they have less leverage than this very moment. Anyone who thinks it’s possible to get a bill that would be helpful to her through Congress right now is a moron.
