I wonder where this was taken exactly.
I don’t think anywhere in Detroit proper would have looked like this in 1941. Feels like it was taken a bit out from Detroit. Lot’s of swampier areas with these low, shallow lakes/ponds about 30 minutes out from the city north if it. Could very easily be south of the city as well.
