So, this update dropped on my Deck and… it’s not gone well. The first thing I noticed was that my SD drive is gone. I have tried remounting it and whatnot, it is completely undetected now. It only shows that internal storage exists.

That’s the good part. The next issue I had was that the screen froze in the dimmed mode before it goes to sleep. Bsically it was a black screen. I could use the Steam button to bring up the menu, but selecting options just led to a black screen. The fix was a restart, nothing else was possible.

But that’s not the big hassle, the big hassle is that shortly after wifi stopped working. It shows that I have it on, but is greyed out and doesn’t detect any networks. It also fails to connect if I manually input the network information. Basically, fiddling around, toggling things, restarting, nothing changes anything. Internet is gone, SD is gone, screen gets messed up if I sleep the Deck.

I really don’t want to have to factory reset, I have things setup, I have modded games. I’m on vacation away from my resources to get things setup again for another two weeks. This is the first time this thing has really let me down.

Update with caution, I hope it’s just a freak mishap for me, but I don’t have a way deal with this that I can see other than trying a factory reset and having a blank slate.

    Very open to other suggestions.

EDIT: I have found that I can no longer shut down the deck either. It just goes into that non-interactive black screen state. If trying to shut down from desktop mode the screen goes black but the mouse cursor remains stuck in place. This is following an attempt to shutdown, restarting is possible still.
