‘Ring of fire’ solar eclipse happens Saturday; N. Georgia may catch glimpse

A solar eclipse on Saturday, what's called an annular solar eclipse — better known as a ring of fire — will briefly dim the skies over parts of the western U.S. and Central and South America. Metro Atlanta and North Georgia are too far east of path of annularity. Weather permitting, we may see a partial solar eclipse here. How to watch it.
