Yellow all-day but don’t think he deserves his first 1.
This was a brain dead move by a vet but the first yellow was nonsense when Tsimikas did the exact same thing just before young did.
I can’t believe someone got a second yellow vs us. I was almost certain the ref wasn’t gonna do it …
Can you lot ever stop complaining?
Ironic
Wow, we actually got a second yellow. After what, 7 years?
This is why you should play someone experienced rather than someone so Young
Dumbass
Honestly feels like a real case of his body not being able to do what his brain asks. He needs to play it safer the older he gets. He probably felt emboldened by the earlier tackle
How will Liverpool go 1-0 down now?
Liverpool fans raging they won’t have anything to talk about for 10 days now.
What an absolute idiot. He’s really let Dyche down
First time a team got a second yellow against us since Mane playing for Southampton in like 2016.
don’t bro know u can’t press square like that when ur guy has the special border around his triangle
Never change Ashley
Like yes he doesn’t get the ball but what else is he meant to do there?
Get the ball.
What do you mean what else is me meant to do??? He shouldn’t foul a player running into the box haha
Not foul him would be a good idea?
Not dive in when on a yellow? Lol
Not foul him maybe?
This is not good for Liverpool
Yeah it’s new waters for us this season
Guess its 3-1 everton?
The commentators talking about how the ref should just be more lenient is exactly why they cant win. Even when they get it obviously right people moan
McCoist seems to even accept on commentary that it’s a yellow but was still saying it’s harsh to give as a second yellow
What station are you on?
My stream were sad he got the second yellow but blamed Young for forcing the ref’s hand.
Don’t know abt OP, but on the TNT stream commentators were saying the same
Arguing that both tackles weren’t a yellow was baffling. What are these ex-professionals on?
Funny the difference here, I’m watching a Swedish stream and they were deadset on the yellow and called him getting a red directly
Yeah it’s so frustrating. Yes it’s a silly thing to get sent off for but that criticism should be at Young not the ref
People blaming the ref like it wasn’t the player that made the stupid choice to do that. Gotta love it
To be fair the first was never a yellow.
Tsimikas had already committed three fouls, one of which to stop a break and yet somehow Young’s first foul (which was in the Liverpool half) was a yellow.
The biggest issues with refs isn’t the clangers as VAR is slowly fixing that, it’s the inconsistency in the small decisions, an inconsistency that tends to favour the bigger teams
I am baffled by people having a problem with the first booking. Having a problem with Tsimikas not getting booked is fine, but Young stuck his leg out and initiates knee on knee contact to bring a winger down and stop an attack. That’s always a yellow.
A Liverpool player not getting booked several minutes later for a similar challenge is totally irrelevant to the question of whether Young’s is a yellow.
See I fundamentally disagree with the statement.
Whilst consistency across all games is difficult we can at least aim for constancy within the current match. Once the tone is set by letting Tsimikas fouls go then you have to keep that up
