EPL hasn’t been this over all competitive in a few seasons.
Imagine showing someone this table a couple of months ago
yes
inb4 the scouse and arsenal tears
RemindMe! 7 months
C’mon you Spurs!
An Invincible season for Spurs coming up…
And there it ends
shut your mouth
For sure losing to Liverpool at anfield
Apparently 23p after 9g is a PL record? Didnt expect that
They couldn’t… could they?
Spurs top of the league, but only on points difference.
Such an arbitrary way of ranking teams
Courtesy of VAR
well but not
Some of youse crack me up
Ref difference
Here’s the deal. We’ll replay that game if you agree to a replay of the 2019 UCL final before Sissoko’s “handball.” Okay?
And this week you had ref help against Everton. It fucking happens. Get over it!
Who’s finally going to beat Tottenham and Arsenal?
With decent reffing, Liverpool would have done it sooner imo. The disallowed goal and Jota’s first yellow that led to the sendoff massively affected the match.
Newcastle soon for us, could see us lose there.
We’ve played all top six teams except Liverpool. We won against the two Manchester teams, and had gotten a draw for both London teams. Just thinking out loud here.
every game is easy when you’re better than everyone else.
you lot were definitely the better team against Liverpool
hell yeah glad you noticed
Better at staying on the pitch in fairness
Thanks I think so to, a well deserved 3 points
Enjoy it coz this will be your only achievement this season, the “we finally beat Liverpool even though the match was rigged” trophy. Will look great in your cabinet with the Audi Cup, and your last league title over 60 years ago
A very clean and professional performance from both sides, I look forward to our future meeting, indubitably.
We were shit but at least we were shit with 11 men, not 9.
They couldn’t. Could they?
Nah I think it’s a bridge too far for us this season, I’ll settle for CL
So much for “joint first” lol
Fun fact: The starting lineup today with the exception of Son and Hojberg are all players that joined in the past 2 seasons, and if you consider that Bissouma usually starts over PEH then it would be 10/11. Just seems neat
Paratici has been instrumental in rebuilding the team.
It’s literally Sonny and his sons rn
Real tight up the top, around a quarter of the way in. Could be a close season, assuming City don’t do the usual and go on a seventy billion game winning run again.
It’s gonna be a tight race until March, and then City will win every game and take the league
That’s usually what the league’s decided by nowadays, most teams challenging can string 3-4 good games together but being able to do 10+ when it matters is what wins you the title
I don’t think that will happen this year. The rest of us, including us, are closer to City.
I think they’ll drop games they didn’t last year, the Pools, Aston Villas et al.
Everyone said that last year and look what happened.
No they didn’t, everyone said that City would go on a streak and they did.
Nope, everyone was talking about how City looked less fluid than the season prior due to Haaland’s integration. After results like Brentford (H) and Arsenal’s momentum, there were serious doubts to whether they could go on their usual 10+ game streak to end the season. You’re doing the exact same thing people were doing last year. Until either Arsenal, Liverpool or Spurs can prove they can go on a 10+ win streak, City are undisputed favourites.
Well, we’ve strung nine together with no defeats
70 billion dollar January signings you mean
It’ll be a fight between the four of you, us, Tottenham and City, provided you, us and Tottenham don’t get crucial injuries. That’s the fighters, though, and any one of us are good enough.
City won’t do that run this year, the others, including the couple below us, are closer to City this year as we are. I think whoever is good enough to get 85 this season might be good enough.
It’s closer this year.
Better to just assume it’s inevitable tbh
