If history holds, he will and he and Arteta will push Raya out the club next season, completing Arteta’s heel turn. Then we will finally win the title uhhh Premiership

He actually had a great interview but the only controversial thing is in the title.

The whole quote doesn’t make it sound too bad though to be honest. He said he respects what is going on and have to get behind Raya anyways as he is part of the family.

Think title is out of context a bit.

Goalkeeper rotation simply doesn’t work there needs to be a clear 1 and 2 from the getgo which both players agree with

If he was to leave, which team needs a goal keeper upgrade? They’ll want to sell him for big money but where would /could he go as the starter?

You’d have to make a hyper-literal interpretation of what he said to think that was what’s gonna happen. Saying two players bring different things to the team is just a non-committal answer to having more than one player for a position. He’d probably say the same thing about Saka and Nelson, doesn’t mean they’ll be sharing minutes.

The weird thing is someone like De Zerbi actually does rotate his keepers, so it’s not unprecedented. Arteta said he would do it and the just, didn’t.

I mean Arteta said he was going to sub them off if they’re having a bad game, that’s what I was referring to

we may see it that way but when you look deeper Ramsdale admitted he “comprimised” with what Arteta wanted from him on a podcast. and in a post match press Arteta said raya is “doing what he instructed” and mistakes happen. reading between the lines Ramsadale refused to do what arteta asked him, raya doesnt, and arteta is asking ramsdale to step it up and do it too. and if he cant we dont have time to be nice. what he says to the public is to protect the players. he cant come out and say he has dropped ramsdale. that would not be fair on him.

I don’t think that one particular mistake did anything to it… It’s mostly the poor end to last season, shit preseason and shit start to the season

He might get a chance to move to a club where he’ll actually win something though

Do players family ever think it helps when they speak on their behalf?
