    No one’s missing much, I’ve eaten frog twice, once in the US and once in France.

    it lacks much flavor and is somewhat like chicken in that department, but the meat has a weird greasy, slimey, oily texture thing to it that really puts me off.

    That being said, if you get the opportunity to try alligator, treat yo’ self. Fried alligator bites > chicken wings.

      Like many ingredients its more about preparing them right.

      Its been 10 years ago since the Chinese restaurant my family liked was closed. We still talk about how absolutely amazing the frog legs where. Sometimes when eating asian we may even get triggered of a specific taste we recognize as must have been included with the frog legs.

      Lots of garlic, umami and spring onion were pretty sure off but there not enough to recreate that disg.

        Really?? I tried it twice in FL… one touristy place, one locals place. Both times I hated the texture. Tough.

      Got almost the opposite experience here. Liked frog legs almost as much as chicken, but found both alligator meat and alligator jerky offputtingly fishy.
