    Hating gay people isn’t as popular anymore so the right has moved on to the next group they hate.

    30 years ago they made banners like this about gay people instead. 30 years before that it was about feminism. The right will always find some group they hate and claim is destroying society.

      Yeah im old but 20 years ago this hate was reserved for gay people. And boy was it unhinged. Like getting two guys to marry would end the republic (the us).

      Always the part that drives me crazy. It’s so up front and obvious the history of moving on to the next thing to hate, with all the same bigoted arguments, fearmongering, and faulty logic.

      I get not everybody is going to have the best education in history (unfortunately), but if you’ve lived 20 years on this earth you’ve seen how they shift targets and just use the same tactics, while pretending that they were always fine with what came before (woman/minorities/gays/etc).

      And before that it was blacks, but they didn’t use signs, they just killed black people and set signal fires.

      Seems they have to go for ever smaller groups as well, in a 100 years all that’s left for the right to hate will be some dude named Thomas.
