    We risk not taking this seriously. In the 1970s, the Japanese motor industry was widely mocked but rapidly moved to producing cars tat utperformed and outlasted everyone else. Like the Japanese of the 70’s, the Chinese are already the leaders with electric motorcycles. It’s a small step and our current key player is Elon Musk / Tesla. Not ideal.

    Xpeng, YangWang, Zeekr, Wuling. They sound… reputable lol

    Straight up Amazon brands.

      Sadly, Tesla is far more expensive and produces demonstrably unreliable vehicles with demonstrably poor customer support when things go wrong.

        I’m sorry. I never intend to own a Tesla, but buying some no-name Chinese car is far in the opposite direction of an improvement.

        I’m not saying I’d never buy a Chinese car. The Polestar 2 is actually a really attractive option to me, but these? No thanks.

          No suggestion about superiority. I’m saying we don’t know. To us, they are not known brands and I think we’re now in the realms of your personal preferences vs what we know or don’t know
