      USB-C isn’t better than lighting when it comes to being a port on your phone. With how poorly implemented C is on most devices, the only thing it would have going for it is the interior ability of USB 2.0.

        The thing though is that lightning port is proprietary to Apple while USB is an open standard (in the sense that anyone can use it in their products. There are fees to have a vendor ID)

        You have all these USB devices at home, but you need another cable for your phone only to line a company’s pocket.

        Apple can absolutely implement USB-C properly and stop fleecing their customers
