    I know but that doesn’t have much to do with suppressing their own people, IMO.

    What they do with dissidents and Uyghurs is pretty bad.

      @Zworf yikes I’m not trying to defend it.

      But I think the attempted colonization and war crimes did not really endear people to the idea of adopting a Western political system.
