    Counter-point video is the worst way to learn/transmit information. Unless you are looking specifically for a video based meme, then reading is better.

        That is something that is said like common wisdom but even if true, video is a slower way to learn the same amount of information versus reading. Plus monetized video (almost all of them) are going to have a ton of filler content just to hit minimum length metrics, plus sponsors, etc etc.

        In addition reading is a better way to get details. If you just want surface level understanding and are basically just wasting time, then sure watch a video. Don’t confuse the understanding you get from the video as worth anything and realize that most videos are just people talking, in which case just reading the transcript and looking at any diagrams they may have would be faster.

      It’s way more about entertainment than information. At the moment my feeds half ful of these videos of husky dogs looking at the northern lights.

      That said, I find it quite handy for giving you leads to follow up yourself. It was on the Jordan airdrops before mainstream media hit them, there are scientists with cool snippets of their work.

      And that guy Dr Karan seems to be right about all his content. I’m never going to read on the toilet again.
