$61Bn is very nearly the entire annual Russian military budget. Estimates have it at some where between $65Bn and $75Bn.
yeah, but a bag of screws doesn’t cost 90k for the Russian military
Only the most premium screws are accepted for consideration by the great US. How else can you be expected to shoot down weather balloons…eventually?
Seriously though, I had friends who worked for military contractors (they’ve escaped) who told me stories about how much they overcharged the military on every single line item because it would never get reviewed.

yeah, but they make stuff for half to a tenth the price the US does, so it goes quite a long way…
At this point it seems like their strategy is gonna be throwing the money at Russia and drown the country in bank notes.
