The sequel to the award winning Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Senua returns in a brutal journey of survival through the myth and torment of Viking Iceland. Intent on saving those who have fallen victim to the horrors of tyranny, Senua faces a battle of overcoming the darkness within and without.
Same. It also has so little to offer gameplay wise that it manages to become super repetitive despite being only a couple hours long. The atmosphere is great but that’s about it.
Yeah, I was obsessed with this game until I got it and realized how bad the gameplay was (for my taste). Compared to things like devil may cry, it was so basic.

In no way was it trying to mimic games like devil may cry, 90% of the focus was on the narrative & psychological horror. If you were looking for more engaging gameplay that’s fine obviously, but I think your expectations for what this game was got misled somewhere.
I guess my reservation for such a decision is that I’ve seen many games with main focus on story but also great fighting. Like the original god of war or prince of Persia trilogies. But that’s an unfair comparisons given those are really, really good games.
I just lowered the difficulty. All it did was make them take longer to kill anyways. Making it easier actually fit the narrative for me. Everything felt as epic as it should be.
I hate when games do difficulty in form of making enemies spongy. I rather have enemies and myself take vasts amount of damage, with a combat system that rewards skillful playing instead.
I never finished the first game - I think I was near the end, but the melee battles just became so tedious that I dropped it.
Are there any mods to fix the horrible gameplay?
I fixed it by playing a different game
The vr is supposedly better
