Had to battle the ring road at peak hour this afternoon. Haven’t had to do it in a long time and can report it’s as stuffed as ever. Glad its not a daily commute. Dinner saved the day, lamb cutlets, mash and veg followed by an apple crumble.

Oh, that is not fun. I was on it the other day and experienced the once car per green light entry system for the first time, then got to sit in very slow traffic banked up from the Greensborough Hwy exit.

Missed the interview due to migraine. They weren’t happy. Fucking sucks as it’s a 9 out of 10 for pain.
I mean if they’re reacting poorly to a genuine reason for cancelling, then maybe it’s for the best. Seems they’re showing you what it would be like to work there. Remember that you’re also interviewing them.
Oh man, that really sucks - of all days!! Please don’t beat yourself up though, as hard as it feels to think right now that there’s always other jobs, you only have one body. You did the right thing to look after yourself, who knows it could’ve been a worse outcome if you tried doing the interview while in great pain. I hope these guys understand and give you a chance or that something else comes up.

I had a dream that I bought a house which was perfect, except for the fact that it was in USA and the front yard was decorated in red, white and blue with multiple American flags. I was worrying the neighbours would be upset when I removed them. Then for some reason I was in a cemetery across the road from the house, which was very busy with multiple funerals and some sort of market/day of the dead festival event happening.
That’s probably the most realistic dream I’ve ever heard of tbh

Hilarious mental image. No, lots of it is lemon grass and sorrel (don’t let this shit self seed people!!!) but also some beladonna and other very untasty things from the wind.
Sorrel is edible, and very nice to eat. Look up French sorrel soup - its an unfashionable and ugly gem of a soup. The tangy lemony taste is unique imo. Marvellous with crusty bread. Otherwise, just pretend it’s spinach and cook/eat accordingly but with lots of cream and/or melty cheese.

I know this is an odd thing to complain about, but I don’t like how Amazon doesn’t charge instantly when I order stuff. It feels like the non credit version of a credit card. They don’t seem to take their money until 12:30am on the day of delivery, and I really don’t like that they do that. It feels like they’re encouraging me to spend money I don’t have/shouldn’t spend. I don’t have overdraft so I guess it’s not that bad, but still. If they took their money instantly, I’d know okay, I have exactly $x left
My bank when consulted on online gives me a total balance, and an available balance figure. That is, any pending payments fill up the gap between the two figures. Maybe your bank does something similar if you ask them nicely???
I don’t think it’s that, because I have notifications on for all transactions. Amazon transactions don’t show up at all, not even as pending until about midnight ish on the day of delivery. I’ve even confirmed that they don’t because no parts of my balance change. I could buy something then spend the money on other things because they haven’t charged me

From what I’ve read the relationship amounts to a few million in research funding to Melbourne Uni for non military related purposes. i.e. powerline management and first responder technology.
Even if Melbourne Uni cut ties and rejected funding it would make 0 difference to the conflict.

Same with Mildura. That line is freight only as well. How many tourism dollars would a vline to Mildura rake in? I don’t know why it’s still closed to the public.

If you’re rich, there’s a couple of heritage trains running up to Mildura this year. The one in June has already been booked out, but I believe there’s another in either August or October. But the tickets are really pricey.
My personal line I wish I could ride is the one from Horsham to Carpolac. I’ve done it by car, and it just looks like it would’ve been such a peaceful ride, even if the largest towns along it only had a couple hundred people
I’m going to check it out anyway. The boys would love it and Mildura is one of the few places it would be worth getting the train to rather than just driving

Do it. Last 20 years = cheap haircuts (especially if you do yourself in the end), quick dry post shower/swim etc, no thought about actual hair style, built in fidget toy after fresh cut. Hair life is good.
I have long hair which is definitely a useful fidget toy, I don’t think I’d know what to do with my hands if I cut it short now. At the moment I can hold on to the end of my ponytail behind my back. pull it forward to tuck under my chin, or tie it into literal knots. Being able to run my hands over my head and go mmm, velvet… just doesn’t seem as versatile. Probably looks less silly though.
Be prepared with a beanie for when the weather turns cold unexpectedly.
I deffo reccomend getting her to help with the back; I re-did my undercut today and knew I went a bit too high when some of my long hair came off too 😂 I measure with my finger but obviously not well. Partner came home and confirmed it’s just a bit arched at the back slightly.
Getting her to check the back will ensure it’s an even shave!

yup, first time. was starting to feel like the last woman standing.
I went through 4 bouts of it in the house, with all three other members going down each time, without picking it up. No isolation, as just not doable within our family. At one point, I actually thought I might be studied for a cure sort of like in that Brad Pitt zombie movie…Next time though, hit me like a freight train.
Plenty of water, and rest. Don’t be afraid to get the over-the-counter codral/codeine if you need to.
