As heat waves creep north, they are baking schools that previously did not need air conditioning. Fixing the problem will be neither cheap, nor easy.

That probably worked ok because:
- You had incandescent lights, which used 99% of their energy on heat production instead of light production
- it wasn’t as hot to begin with
