You just find out you are living in virtual world (simulation) and was grant permission to freely create matter. You can create anything, as long as you know it. The admin use you as test subject and see what happen if you have that such ability.

You have 2 ability:

  • Inspect the item: the item is near you, in your eyesight, or you can touch the item with your body part (no need eyesight now). Then the item property, material, schema, … is written in your brain.
  • Create a item: create a carbon copy of what you inspect (copy a dollar bill), or you can create new stuff with your creativity (got to start somewhere, scan some basic material like sand, water, … first then build with basic material)

So, what should you do ?

Others “thing”, law of physics, people/biology behaviours as normal.

I can create matter, but can I transmute matter?

Can I create things that don’t exist in our current world?

I would transmute the plastic in the ocean back to water with the correct salinity.

I would create a replicator, like the Star Trek ones where anything and everything can go in as inputs and whatever you want can come out as outputs. Both small household units and big ones to use at landfills to create building materials.

I would create many different strains of all our food plants that could thrive in the current climate, and also create a fuel (using the industrial replicators) that could be used in the current machines that use oil, but is non polluting.

Start a business selling my services as a duplicator, “No, these aren’t mere ‘forgeries’, I make exact copies of whatever you want, sir.” Can I copy people or living things too? That would expand the business, but otherwise I’d become self-employed being a copy artist. I might tour art museums and pick up copies of some of the best pieces.

I’m inspecting some guns and ammo just in case, basic elements and valuable materials. I’m making a lot of gold bars randomly appearing in select places that I find fit. I’m buying a lot of raw wood and selling a bunch of “handcrafted” wood items, burning the wood in my furnace. All electronic items I have become duplicates of real top notch stuff. Will try touching the earth to see if I can actually analyse the whole planet, and making the 2 extra earths needed to sustain us.

Ukraine will find itself with a ton more ammo, and I’m finding myself ready to kill anyone who tries to stop me, by getting a bunch of blueprints for guns

I create a projector and sensor in one lens to view the world in my image. I then grant my projectors the ability to run film reels I create. I keep the ability to punch holes to myself so that I don’t lose track of the reels I’ve made myself. I then allow my projectors to generate film off my original template, but they can’t make punched film. I then use attention and inattention to measure trustworthiness and use it to understand why parts of me misbehave when turned into projectors.

Some people are answering as if you can transmute stuff and yes if that is the case I would remove a lot of pollution but if its just create I would work on getting enough money to buy an island and then claim I had come across large deposits of rare earths and tritium and stuff to make sustainable energy as cheap as possible. maybe carbon fiber as well as it can make many things more efficient and use less power. I would ahead of time have the formulas for many types of munitions as well to handle the assaults the oil companies would throw at me.

You have an island, the oil companies have been assaulting that island since their inception; they don’t need to send an assassin, they only need to wait for the waters to rise.

Inspect everything needed to create another society

Inspect a rocket, create a rocket

Learn how to safely operate rocket

Inspect earth, leave earth in rocket

Create 2nd earth, live on second earth and watch what happens on first earth while living life peacefully on 2nd earth

I would stick mostly to consumables - food, etc. Maybe some mass produced goods that I could easily donate anonymously. It would be extremely useful and unlikely to catch the wrong kind of attention.

Filling the Sahara with fresh water,

You do know that water will just disappear in few minutes due to the type of sand there, right?

I believe vegetation is a proper solution for that.

You do know that water will just disappear in few minutes due to the type of sand there, right?

You do know I can make unlimited water in this hypothetical, right?

Before you say anything else: Knowing you live in a simulation means no longer particularly caring about long term consequences.

I prefer to not care and things don’t matter.

Not in a nialistic way but in a thing’s that I can’t control don’t bother me and my life is much better that way

You need 1kg per gram of co2 absorbed You will also need to thoroughly aerate it as well.

So, 40 gigaton of excess co2, you need 40 teraton

That is per year, evenly spread out.

I recommend calcium oxide instead, 700gram co2 per kg !
