Tried the Kmart unscented moisturiser - I had my fingers crossed but within seconds there was a faint growing sting. Guess I have to keep getting the one that does seem to be ok.

Life is a sensory nightmare 👍

For some reason the Cetaphil cleanser burnt my skin? I think they’ve changed something because there are other reviews about it. Otherwise I’d go back to using it, it was alright before. QV might be an option.

I do well with Cerave lotion but was trying to see if the cheaper Kmart option was any good

QV Cream has been the only moisturiser that hasn’t eventually caused bad reactions for my skin. It can be a bit expensive and it’s hard to know if it will work out before buying a tub of it and trying it, but it does goes on sale sometimes at pharmacies.

Thanks, I might pick some QV up when my Cerave runs out.

My skin even hates sorbolene for some reason. So champagne tastes on a beer budget lol

Shoulder is sore today from overworking it yesterday, pills aren’t doing much to take the edge off the pain is more pronounced today so I guess it’s really just a strain or something.

I think i"m going to ice it up when i get home today.

I guess at the same time I might save my grocery shopping till the weekend as much as I’m tempted today after work.

Going to take it easier today while I’m at work and not use my left arm as much.

If you have access to a bathtub, grab some Epsom salts and have a really hot bath with some.

That’s alleviated migraines causes by a fucked shoulder for me before.

I used to find Voltaren or Dencorub seemed to help a little. I would also tuck the injured arm inside my shirt before sleep so it wouldn’t flop around as much and I couldn’t unconsciously put it in an aggravating position.

Just some suggestions that may or may not be useful. I hope something brings some relief soon. I remember how much it hurt

To be honest it did keep me awake last night and making my arm hurt.

I get so unmotivated in Winter when it’s already getting dark at 5pm, it just saps the life out of me. Just wanna sloth in front of tv, have dinner and go to bed.

Yeah, it’s hard enough for me even when I manage to get home just before it’s dark - no motivation to go for a walk or anything, not even creative activities like drawing or writing or whatever. Just want to curl up and numb my emotions to go with my cold hands and feet until bedtime. Power down…

I know this is probably a dumb question, but what is the deal with this McAfee man? Is he the one that made the scammy antivirus? Is this letter you’re talking about about the antivirus? Does the antivirus send you letters, or is this something else?

Had a lovely trip to Melbourne. Weather was great. I got to see my brother and neices. We went to dinner at La Bon Ton (which was delicious, but my God can someone get place some proper lighting) then we watched the first quarter of North v Melbourne before going to see Seinfeld perform.

It was my first ever time seeing a comedian live and it was hilarious. I’m gonna have to check out some more.

Even went on a few ‘dates’ from those oh-so-fun dating apps. I get like zero matches back home, but flying into melbourne my phone was pinging and I was basically feeling like that Nic Cage Con-Air meme with his long, luscious hair. They both knew I lived in Tassie so it was really meeting as friends, but it was nice to talk to people again. My conversational skills have definitely improved at least.

Came back home yesterday, definitely caught something. Probably from my neices. Feeling run down and throat has a weird taste. Stuck a swab up my nose but no COVID.

Back to the grind today :(

Used to love Le Bon Ton. Last time I went the quality wasnt as good as it used to be, but ran into Dylan Alcott and his dog. Hope its gotten back to good. What did you get? The Brisket is amazing! and honestly the chicken is pretty good too.

My brother and I shared the little bit of everything plate. I wasn’t that hungry. It had brisket, pulled pork, chicken and sausage. Brisket was amazing. Sausage was great as well.

I have been on leave in the last week, travelling with an old family member (a farewell today of sorts - I don’t think she will be doing more big trips). I am feeling very melancholy. So glad I have been able to help her, and sad to see someone so strong and independent getting old and frail.

Anyway this is your lil Wednesday reminder to say thanks to your body, no matter how much trouble it gives you. Getting old sucks arse

I dont think its sad. It shouldnt be sad. Getting old is a part of life, and if we didnt have a finite cap on our time we’d forget to enjoy the time we have. Getting old is a part of the journey of life, and hopefully a time you can rely on your loved ones and friends.

My dad’s going through this now. He’s on what may well be his last big trip - touring around Australia with a campervan with his partner. Last I spoke to him he asked me the same questions three times over in a ten minute conversation. It’s hard.

Sorry to hear that. My mate’s parents did that trip when the mum got diagnosed. His dad used to say at least he could go back to old favourite spots that she would normally be bored with because they were all new!

I tried to get an early night last night and hopped into bed at 8, but I just couldn’t slip into sleep. I took a mg of melatonin and it didn’t work, so I took another after an hour or so. By 2am I’d taken 4mg and still couldn’t sleep. It was honestly really weird. I was tired and could barely open my eyes, but just couldn’t click into the sleep zone. I wasn’t really thinking about anything, I was just laying with my eyes closed. I’ve never had that happen to me before

(And I was moderately tired when I got into bed, which makes it stranger)

Came home last night to this:

Mr P reckons he fell through his bed, tried to fix it and couldn’t, and then smashed it up and threw it out onto the garden he’s just spent ages trying to tidy up. Now he’s sleeping on a mattress on the floor. I talked about getting a new bed, but my MIL said “how ridiculous! bloody leave him there and he can enjoy it!” With all the kerfuffle, nobody remembered to put the bins out 🤦🏼‍♀️😭

Changed the car insurance to a monthly payment, which costs a little more but is more manageable for me. With Elders therapy appointments, his laptop needing to be taken to get fixed, and the possibility of having to buy a new bed (and the Minipeelers are due new mattresses as well) the cheaper annual payment is not really an option anymore.

    Good morning everyone! 🤣

throws Mr P into the garden

      Kidding! I’m kidding!

But yeah I think if he wants a new bedframe after that he can save up the money and make the arrangements.

Re: new mattresses, Bunnings do a very affordable box mattress. I presume it comes in single or double? Possible option.
