It had such promise, then the two largest instances sold out their users to Meta like chattel.
The fediverse needs to be far more hostile to commercial social media.
Personally I like being able to follow Threads accounts without exposing my info to Meta.
This is very cool, and will hopefully encourage more journalists to be active on Mastodon.
