Given the ongoing disregard for user feedback and the behavior of some mods on that instance, I think the smartest move is to switch to another instance.

How can I find out which one is the most active without any connection to lemmy.world?

What does "without any connection to LW means ? There is a lot of lemmy instances, plenty being active. Which language do you look for ? Which kind of content do you like ? Do you want a big generic instance (SJW, Lemmee), a niche instance (ttrpg network, grad), a national instance (feddit), do you want downvotes to be turned off (Blahaj) ? Do you want to use lemmy or mbin ?

Try sorting https://join-lemmy.org/instances by activity. Lem.ee seems to be the most active (non-NSFW) instance.

I don’t know what the internet drama with .world moderation is about, though, so you may want to read up on the moderation style of other servers.

I don’t think many major servers block .world entirely, maybe Beehaw still does? You may need to set up your own server to fully block the larger servers.
