When someone starts a sentence with “the Bible says”, I just interrupt them with “nobody gives a shit what the Bible says, this isn’t your church”
It’s usually enough for them to figure out continuing the discussion isn’t going to go smoothly and move on.
“You stay out of our government, and the government will stay out of your church.”
I look forward to the day churches are taxed.
Not me. I know they already overstep their bounds regarding state/church separation and all, but they’d be so much more entitled and insufferable if they believed they had no restrictions because they were taxed.
