I am not a fan of this meme, I think it’s too simplistic at the most generous and just bigoted to be less generous, but I will say that you do not get the same violent reaction to burning the Bible as you do the Quran. Maybe you would have a few hundred years ago, but the level of reaction now would not involve burning down embassies, murdering people, etc. There is some sort of argument to be made here, but not with a meme.

Just add a couple more religions, and it’s fixed.

It’s quite disheartening that when a Muslim does a bad thing, then it’s Islam’s fault, but if a Christian, that Christian is a “fake Christian” somehow. The pedo thing some of the followers of Abrahamic religions do come from the same text from the old Testament, which is also in the Talmud. I remember one antisemite using that chapter about marriage age to smear all Jews as pedophiles before the 2010s.

I wouldn’t say it’s the same league, which kinda makes it a bad analogy. You can burn any flag of any islamic country, they at the very max would be pissed (the way any patriotic individual would be pissed). The Quran is a religious text, which doesn’t have an equivalent in the LGBT community.
