I’ve seen around 3 occasions of that this week, altho I have never seen anything like it before.

if I remember correctly they were:

  • smack talking a mod (FlyingSquid) for saying not to report the same comment twice, when they were different comments, and the report was spam
  • someone comparing .world with .ml in politics (as in there was a comment saying "this post will be overrun with .ml people, and then a comment going “but you are from .world”) (Maybe Im part of the problem? I have been called out for being a fascist because I questioned the “puching nazis” theme)
  • one more which I can’t remember.

Anyways, what is all that about? Are people really starting to hate on 50% of the lemmy population because of their instance?

Ohhh, drag just went back and read the thread. This is a China thread. Drag forgot. Drag just has strong opinions on milk, drag didn’t mean to imply anything about economics. Vegan milk is a more important political issue in drag’s opinion than whatever humans are up to.

Drag cares for the plight of the Uyghurs. But drag is not Chinese and drag can’t do much to affect things in China other than campaigning to send drag’s country to war. Drag doesn’t like war. There are 10 times as many enslaved cows as there are Uyghurs in China. Drag thinks if you care about slavery, start with the cows. Especially if you’re not Chinese and don’t have much way to free the Uyghur slaves. If drag was Chinese, drag would be trying to free the Uyghurs and the cows. But in drag’s country, the most drag can do for Uyghurs is say that what is being done to them is wrong. Drag can tell people that normal milk is vegan milk and drinking breast milk is for perverts, and drag thinks that will have a bigger effect on reducing slavery.
