Reminder that Sarah McBride is the first out transgender woman elected to congress. The Republicans are specifically targeting her and future transgender representatives by banning them their gendered restrooms of choice. As always, cruelty is the point.

Demand all congress people show proof of gender. There is no such thing, so no bathrooms for anyone unless they are for everyone like they should be. Stupid sex segregated society.

They’ll end up demanding to see a birth certificate, which is not a historical document, can be updated, and often has errors.

They’re gonna need a report from a gender specialist and a clear set of credentials confirming their ability to definitely decide 100.0% make or 100.0% female.

          Let’s learn stuff.

I always wanted to make a fake cert but never had a good reason.
I’ll do it and I’ll deliberately do a poor job.

Edit: shit, i mistakenly capitalized “board”

But how do we know that they haven’t changed since the docent was generated. Clearly the only solution are genital inspectors…

If you want tips for how to make it uncomfortable, slow, and humiliating you can crib from Real Life Experience (RLE) the process that they used to make trans people go through to prove our genders

and often stipulate the original birth certificate so if there was a mistake entering the sex, too fucking bad I guess?

I demand genital inspections for anyone entering bathrooms in any government building. Public photographic proof of sex must be required.

Honestly, one bathroom for all is the way to go - but make sure there are still a few urinals in there.

In elementary school, the bathroom was a large room with stalls all around and a foot-activated-fountain-thingy in the middle to wash your hands.

It was perfectly fine and non-gendered.

Around here, most restaurants have 2+ fully enclosed single-user bathrooms instead of multiple stalls, so gendering those is especially useless.

If I have to shit, and the men’s room is taking too long, I’m going to go shit in the women’s room, idgaf. I’m not messy, but I will be shittin’ regardless of consequence.

If I encounter a woman actually in there while I’m running in, I just say I’m sorry, this could not have been stopped, rush into a stall, and it’s never an issue. Who the fuck is making this an issue?

Another anecdote, I’ve been in bars where I’ve been a little too drunk, wandered into the women’s, gotten to the wash my hands phase, and then been confronted by a woman also washing her hands and every single time (only like 2-3 times) they’ve always just laughed with me, I’ve apologized, and we both went about our business.

Third anecdote, I’ve worked in many places and had to clean both women’s and men’s bathrooms, gals, y’all are fuckin reckless in there, I don’t even see why people would want to use those bathrooms. Men’s bathrooms aren’t spotless and perfect or anything, but I’ve seen some tragedies in women’s bathrooms.

Tragedies in women’s bathrooms: There have always been some, and with the loss of appropriate medical care for miscarriages and abortions, there’s going to be a lot more.
