This is a genuine question.

I have a hard time with this. My righteous side wants him to face an appropriate sentence, but my pessimistic side thinks this might have set a great example for CEOs to always maintain a level of humanity or face unforseen consequences.

P.S. this topic is highly controversial and I want actual opinions so let’s be civil.

And if you’re a mod, delete this if the post is inappropriate or if it gets too heated.

Oh nice. Once again, an establishment Democrat shill puts all the blame on the voters and none on the Democrats themselves.

Biden won over Trump in 2020 because people remembered how bad Trump was, and because Biden campaigned to be the most progressive president since FDR.

Kamala lost in 2024 because Biden didn’t get out of the race fast enough, instead giving Kamala three and a half months to campaign where on the day of the election people were looking up whether Biden was still in the race, because the Dems failed to market their successes and get ahead of the people’s narrative that Biden sucked, and because Kamala said she wouldn’t be any different from Biden - instead racheting up towards the right by campaigning with billionaires and Republicans and proposing a Republican on her cabinet.

Americans by and large support progressive policies if they’re framed in the right way.

This outcome is entirely the fault of establishment Democratic politicians. And just like how people voted in 2016, since Democrats aren’t listening, they’ll vote to destroy the system again if it means change.

Now, go cry foul like a dumb baby who does not understand the actual reasons why Trump won.
