Good answer. I cut out soda for around a year in 2022, but it’s slowly crept back into my life. At my worst, I was drinking nearly 1L a day. Now it’s about a 12oz can every week or so. Good on you for cutting it

Is it? I don’t understand the hate on soda. It’s carbonated water with flavoring. There are many other drinks with more sugar. Why the negativity for bubbles?

For me, it was caffeine and sugars, and too much of them. They made them too easy to drink large portions of them. Dropping it completely is my way of portion control there.

Every so often I’ve had another drink of cola, and it’s been sickly sweet, so at least for me, there was some dulling of my taste buds. Since cutting down there, I’ve taken in less sugars overall, so it’s ‘healthier.’

Seltzers (carbonated water that has been on the vicinity of flavor) are great though, citrus oils seem to do well for those.
