Given that most sports equipment has changed slowly enough it doesn’t take 500 people 5 years to make, it’s not quite comparable. Another creative work would be, such as movies, which easily are far far more expensive for the number of hours of enjoyment experienced
All kinds of sports equipment falls in that price range and can entertain you just as long, if not longer
