This is my general feeling of dealing with the whole process of attempting to get BigsreenVR to 3d face scan me via Safari Mobile IOS so that I could maybe play some silly games. Alright dudes. This is like the 12th time you’ve sent me this emails and like the 12th time I’ve tried this I’ve tried this on my phone I’ve tried this on my wife’s iPhone I’ve tried this on my wife’s Ipad I’ve attached photos showing my setting and yet still I get the stuck on loading screen (See replies for more)

I wanted to get myself a BigScreen VR for Christmas.

In order to get one, you need to do a 3d depth face scan using an lOS device that has privacy settings and content blockers set to as permissive as possible. Except even after doing that it doesn’t work.

The solution literally listed on the customer support site was to either try someone else’s lOS device, or to fucking drive to an Apple Store and hope they let u plug ur email into their germy, who knows what software’s running on it, demo iPhones and hope it successfully runs their shitty WebKit app.

Couldn’t get the face scan working, definitely not gonna plug my email into a demo iPhone, and I’m pretty sure I don’t live near an Apple Store anyways.

BigScreen can get fucked, stick with Steam Index VR

    Really like mine Yes it has a bunch of caveats but for sim racing it really is perfect. Compared to current Quest offering though it’s not better enough to justify me telling anyone to purchase it lol. I was part of the first backer production run but have had zero actual issues with it that aren’t nitpicks (okay eye swap is the exception)

    I returned mine, borrowed a friend’s Iphone for the scan, but I should have definitely gotten an official ipd reading. The set they sent me was really nice, but the ipd was wrong and I’m already kind of susceptible to motion sickness regularly.

    I got a discounted pimax for Christmas instead. It’s huge, but has a lot of features I was giving up for the smallness of the bigscreen
