Mostly just asking this for a college assignment since I’m a student there, and this is the one I picked out of the twenty I came up with.
Feel free to also answer why you do such exercises, describe the last time you have engaged in physical exercise, and provide any additional thoughts.
I used to enjoy riding my bicycle to and from work every. I got an electric assist to help me up a big hill on my way home from work. I was doing better and better at it each time. Before that I used to mountain bike recreationally by doing some basic or intermediate trails.
I’ve spent my whole life on a bike; it’s one of my most favorite activities and I advocate for more and more people to take up the hobby as not only a way to stay in shape but to improve your mental health and save the earth a little CO2 in the process.
It’s a damn shame I probably won’t get to ride one again. Of all the things the accident took from me. That one hurts the most.
Sorry too hear that.
Hope you can fully recover and go back to doing things that you enjoy.
I’ve got hardware in my hip now that makes it really uncomfortable to sit on anything anymore. I appreciate the thought none the less. I keep trying and holding out hope one day it doesn’t hurt anymore.
What’s that saying “better to have loved and lost than never loved at all”? I feel something similar to that about it. I can accept it because I had a hell of a time when I did 😅
Any luck with recumbent or standing bikes?
A few users from various threads have given me some recommendations. I haven’t tried any out yet but I’ve been looking into them.
I want to see if the Trivel will be a good fit. That one I heard a lot of positives about and it came strongly recommended based on a users experience with one of his family members that sustained similar injuries.
