It wasn’t breaking any rules. Are the mods also part of the crowd that’s ashamed to admit when they’re wasting money? I wouldn’t put it past them. Or perhaps it’s something more nefarious.
Regardless, I hope anyone here that can actually think for themselves can see this censorship and be willing to try free VPNs on their own.
Don’t just take the word of people on the internet. Most of them are sheep being herded by those richer than them.
Get your own experiences, see things for yourself. I wish I did years ago; would’ve saved a lot of money not listening to you fools.
In the rare case where you are actually not a troll, let me put it simply.
Your previous post was blocked for the behaviors of certain individuals in the comments, including you and the topic itself which was as good as spouting: “Why not use Google drive for sharing media? It’s free and there is way less hassle than what all of you have been doing for decades. I am right you are wrong.” .
Dunno about locking, but please don’t use Riseup for torrents, unless you support them heavilly. Its an activist resource.
Yeah, and torrenting is an activist solution.
Sure, if you’re torrenting government censored media to distribute to others living under an oppressive regime.
Are you torrenting government censored media to distribute to others living under an oppressive regime? It can be, but there are so much more important forms of activism that I’m pretty sure the people behind RiseUp most likely don’t want their bandwidth taken up by torrents.
That’s not the intended use, and you know it.
From the first sentence:
Riseup offers Personal VPN service for censorship circumvention, location anonymization and traffic encryption.
Emphasis mine. Notice how there’s an “and” in there, not an “or.”
You can redefine piracy to mean “activism” all you want, but abusing philanthropy with the explicit intent to prevent censorship is anti-activism.
