I can see how they were on like medieval times when no one actually knew what anyone they hadn’t met in person looked like, and if some fancy guy surrounded by guards was supposed to be the king he was probably the king.

Every time i read about it seems to be all allegiations coming from this being really a TV trope - and indeed the place where the doubles are undoubtledly used is the movie scene. Libs of course tend to believe in 50 body doubles of Saddam Hussein and that half of world leaders at any given time are dead and secretly replaced.
I remember during the Iraq war this same shit rag had headlines every other day about Saddam being dead and his body double being in charge.
