In the richest country in the history of the world we must establish that:

  • Healthcare is a human right and must be available to all regardless of income.

  • Every worker in America is entitled to earn a decent income. We must raise the minimum wage to a living wage and make it easier for workers to join unions.

  • We must have the best public educational system in the world, from childcare to vocational training, to graduate school – available to all.

  • We must address the housing crisis and build the millions of units of low-income and affordable housing that we desperately need.

  • We must create millions of good paying jobs as we lead the world in combating the existential threat of climate change.

  • We must abolish all forms of bigotry.

Agreed. I love Bernie but it for him to say we’re on the right road for Democracy and Justice is laughably false, and it diminishes my opinion of him to hear him say it. To move forward, we first have to agree we’re very much -not- on the right road. I once valued Bernie for speaking honestly to Americans. This is a disappointing departure.

He didn’t say that. Where are you getting that from?

The headline is “we’re on the road”. Literally. As in he’s touring around the US trying to educate and organize people.

Right. The headline says we’re on the road. It has 2 interpretations. One is the literal meaning that they are touring America. The other is that things are moving in the right direction. I was strongly disagreeing with the second interpretation.

OK, but if you read the article it becomes very clear it’s the former meaning. So you’re disagreeing with an opinion that the original piece is not presenting.

You’ve invented a fake argument to be mad at. Why? Isn’t there enough actual bullshit going on right now?
