Visited a booth at my farmer’s market where the mom working was wearing her baby in a sling on her back. This kid’s neck was as far back as it could go. We mentioned it to the mom, and she just said “yeah, her head’s been bobbing around all morning.”
I don’t know the baby’s age. And I don’t know much about babies. Based on the first time I saw her, she’s at least seven months old. I know that newborns’ necks need to be supported. And I know that having your neck in that position can cause a stroke in adults.
It made my mom so uncomfortable she had to walk away, but the people behind us talked to the woman and said nothing about it. Should this be reported to someone? Or is it totally normal and fine?

There’s a history to it, that repeats every 48ish hours. You’d be hard pressed to stay 1000% polite (which is what % it seems I’m being judge against this evening) too.

There are consequences to our actions, yes. How you choose to react to those consequences is entirely your decision.
I’m very aware of that. Like you, I live in the real World too, and not just here in Lemmy, and the real World reminds you of that each and every day.
A question for you: Would you consider telling someone to review your previous comments you’ve made because you don’t want to repeat yourself (and derail the proper conversation) a “wrong” reaction?

Do you think you’re talking to someone else? You haven’t told me to review your previous comments. But to answer your question, no, I think it’s fine to leave a “see previous comment” response, or have a copy-paste response ready, similar to the responses major corporations have to frequently asked questions
I just think if you’re using 1000% of your energy to be polite and still failing, maybe it’s worth stepping back and reanalyzing what you’re doing and why
