The painful part will be when the 4.5 alpha starts shortly and includes a bunch of cool features that didn’t make the release window for 4.4. Do I stick with stability, or ride the unstable wave of cutting-edge?
From the article …
long-awaited comfort features like embedded game windows and interactive in-game editing will feel more in line with other software on the market
Sounds like a competition patch.
Would love to hear from people who use the other major competitor products, if this is something that would make them rethink using Godot or not?
You licensed your comment? 🤨
Is it 48 hours later already?
Some people here do it to deter webscraping but idk how well it works
I see, thanks. Doubt it’s anything effective against big tech with how zuck scrapped 70tb of pirated content for his models.
Its an impressive read!
Holy shit, sooo many game changing(hehe) things in there. Persistent file paths, 3D physics interpolation, window placement restoring, shading improvements, new experimental physics engine. I love godot so much.
Embedded (and interactive) game window!
Being able to run the editor on VR headsets while doing development is a crazy gamechanger for those platforms. If you pair a keyboard and mouse it really does turn it into a real computing platform that lets you develop new apps on device.
Fantastic, it’s a biggy!! Love the new features and fixes!
Lots of exciting changes here, huge thanks to all the contributors!
Amazing! Godot has been a real pleasure to use, can’t wait to give all the new stuff a try.
Soooo many exciting features in this release
I love you, Godot engine
