Yeah, this sort of shit has gotten under my skin since identity stuff started exploding into public discourse.

If gender is a construct, why the fuck are we still using traditionally masculine and feminine actions/interests to prescribe identity? What gives anyone the right to prescribe someone else’s identity?

Is this the rare non-binary hating but trans supportive individual? I don’t get it.

Gender being a construct doesn’t mean you can’t willingly put yourself into that pre constructed idea, you can be whatever you like. It’s prescribing it to others that’s fucked up.

Regardless, nobody as angry as you has ever convinced anyone of anything, nor will anyone ever convince you of anything. I’m sure the world is harsh towards you, and I’m sorry you feel the need to match that energy.

Who said I hate Nonbinary people? Nonbinary people are trans you idiot, it’s an expression of transness. People who express themselves in ways that don’t align with their assigned gender at birth are more likely to be trans in some way. And no it’s not wrong to try and help them understand themselves. There’s a lot of internalized transphobia and the assumption that cisgender is the default is strong and can prevent people from discovering themselves, therefore they need a lot of help to overcome those obstacles. That’s not bad mean or fucked up, that’s called being trans supportive, why don’t you try it for a change.
