I don’t think i’ll be able to make a full switch since all my friends and relatives use Instagram (i’ll just have to stick with the web version.)

The hardest part is always bringing our know people to use it, but the good thing about pixelfed is that the content is accessible without an account, so you can create posts and share them with anyone.
Meta services is not a part of any package, but it’s an independent package
com.facebook.servicesthat a lot of manufacturers preinstall as a system app, because they get paid for that by meta. The package runs in the background and most meta apps communicate with it, use it for push notifications etc… You can uninstall the app with ADB commandadb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.facebook.services.If you have

My Motorola got an OTA security update that included all three, resulting in them running again.
If you want to keep it installed but automatically “disabled” 10 seconds after the screen goes off. Try “Ice Box” app. It will remain disabled until the next app launch.
