Apparently it’s Apple specific and the android “Lockdown mode” just disables all phone unlock methods (face detection, fingerprint…) other than the main one (pin, pattern…) until the next unlock.
Still good to be aware of in case you’re likely to be arrested or something.
Apple has something like that too (disabling the biometric unlock). Spam the side button, or press the side button + volume up for a few seconds. Once the screen comes up to shutdown or call 911, biometric unlock is off until you log back in with a PIN.
