If Russia stops fighting, the war ends. If Ukraine stops fighting, Ukraine ends. And Russia is more likely to try again in another neighbor. Like they have multiple times already.

It must be so relaxing to live in your tiny binary world where everything and everyone is either absolutely good and reasonable or absolutely bad and impossible to reason with and diplomacy doesn’t work it even exists.

In the real world though, your talking out of your ass absolutism is neither clever nor helpful and too many agreeing with you or pretending to has caused countless needless deaths and the continuation of the war you claim to be against.

To admit defeat without getting anything in return is not something a megalomaniac dictator like Putin could ever do, but there are diplomats whose jobs are to find out something his representatives would accept that isn’t a dealbreaker for Ukraine.

Everyone who knows anything about anything knows that you can’t achieve a decisive win in a land war against Russia and that Russia can’t achieve a decisive win against the combined might of almost all powerful countries in the world. The only realistic way of ending the war soon or indeed at all is via diplomacy.
