    Hmm… so a steak is a salad, and a salad is nachos? Something screwy here…

      Salad is only nachos if it contains croutons, won ton strips, or some other form of free-floating non-structural starch.

        Salads are fundamental. Nachos are too complicated to be fundamental. There are, at least, two different sorts of nachos. If it’s just chips with cheese and toppings dropped on top of the mound of chips, or if they are mixed randomly, then it’s a salad. If it’s the other sort of nachos where each chip has the toppings applied individually, then it’s a salad of sandwiches.
