“We’re going to do electoral reform!”

    “Okay, I’ll vote for that.”

“We’re going to hold an election to secure power for no other reason than to have it and continue to reap the benefits of the current system!”

    “So no reform?”

“Nah, that’s hard. Hey, why are we losing support to the Conservatives all of a sudden?”

This is the most frustrating part about it. The Liberals had the choice to either be a key part of the leadership of the country for the foreseeable future or have complete power occasionally for the foreseeable future, and they chose the second option. And now, because of that choice, the far right has a real chance to gain power, even though they’re a minority in Canada.

Our choices are now, the tiktok shower guy, the divorcee drama teacher, and Pipsqueak Hitler.

We should have had so much better.

The current Canadian political landscape (fed and prov) is an absolute farce that will end up destroying so much of what defines Canada.

The frustrating part is we’re losing a hapless government and gaining an evil one; for no reason other than the fact that

      1. Things haven’t gone perfectly these last few years (hello COVID) and some things lost in priority.

      2. Squinty mcProudboy has no actual platform other than “we’ll be way better than hair guy” with no numbers to challenge.

If they gave us facts, we’d be able to laugh at it. But they don’t. It’s the fucking Red Book all over again.
