To me, when it uses the exact same rhetoric as the people who take it seriously, it’s not really a joke. Or at least it’s not a funny joke.

“Haha, bisexuality contradicts non-binary identity,” isn’t really funny to me because a) it’s not true, and b) I’ve seen cisgender bisexual people seriously put forth this notion in an effort to reduce support for transgender people. The “drop the T” movement has used almost your exact same language to try to illustrate through humour that trans people don’t belong.

I’ll admit I’m sensitive, but these phrases aren’t really jokes. It’s basic (and lame) wordplay at best. It’s inherently stale, like the “I identify as an attack helicopter” and “don’t assume my gender” crap.

Jokes are not for everyone to laugh at and you don’t get to decide what’s a joke and what’s not. As you seem quite concerned if this is hate speech or not, let me reassure you : it’s not, I meant this as a joke. If you still want me to stop, feel free to block my account.

You gave away your stance when you assumed that the person that was just providing general factual information and context was somehow offended by your comment.

This implies that you believe your comment can be understood as offensive and that a logical response for an offended party is to… educate people with context.

“You guys”? Were all internet strangers here, free to act on our own accords. My personal opinions are mine alone.

All that one person did was copy some dry factual information of something i though you where have a misconception about. The fact that just reading a generic fact makes you think that someone got offended makes me think you where feeling threatened somehow.

If you have any logical reasoning why else you’d jump to that conclusion i am happy to hear it.

Till you do i keep my own conclusion which is that “woke” makes you feel upset and i need to balance an honest attempt at making you reflect on your own behavior versus hurting your fragile worldview.

Again, lots of assumptions. I just wasn’t pleased to read that my joke was labelled as a “gotcha I can use against trans people” (to quote it) as if it was my intention. It’s the internet and I shouldn’t have reacted. But feel free to assume what the hell you want, it seems you know me better than I do. All I see is a bunch of butt hurt people calling anything anti-trans/hate speech. What’s even funnier is that my joke is +/- exactly the same as the one posted in the meme.

The meme is funny because its just a dummy ai showcasing how clueless it can really be.

I assume the clue must have flown over your head, what i do know for certain is that my jokes did because i was assuming extra just for you.

The duality of men. I want to help reflect that maybe your accidentally creating pain by assuming to much but i don’t want to spend to much time on you so one strategy is to mirror you.

I a out now its getting late. Hope you find peace in our woke future.
